Studied medical and scientific illustration at the University of Maastricht, receiving master’s degree in 2005.

Won Dutch Design Award for illustration with a series of illustrations of the INRA procedure (an intestinal operation), commissioned by Prof. Dr. C. van Laarhoven.

Received Dr. Pascual Award from the Centro de Cirugia de Minima Invasion in Caceres, Spain, for Class II Malocclusion illustration series, commissioned by Drs. H. Booij.
